San Diego Inner City Junior Golf Foundation Inc.
OUR STORY
The San Diego Inner City Junior Golf Foundation Inc, opened its doors in 1996 in a small Southeast San Diego golf office in the inner city. We started with 12 children from our local neighbors and schools, since then we have grown to over 2500 past and present members, 13 Elementary schools and two non-profits in our area.
We teach golf, health and life skills to all children especially underprivileged children in the San Diego areas.

We are a 501©3 Non- Profit organization that believes in our future! We help children, parents and all organizations teaching them golf for free!
​
We have (4) professional golf instructors with over 175 years combined teaching and playing experience that is provided by the Gordon and Harriet Brown Sr. family. Gordon Brown Sr. Horace Brown, Rosetta Brown-McClay and Oran Brown compose a team that is known as San Diego’s first golfing family! “The Golfing Browns of San Diego” San Diego Union Tribune 1972.

The Brown family has seen four out of five of their children receive golf scholarships to three different colleges and universities all (4) children also turned and played professional golf on all PGA and LPGA Tours around the world!

The San Diego Inner City Junior Golf Foundation Inc is in its 23nd year of operation and is supported by many communities throughout San Diego County and has corporate supporters such as the USS Midway Museum, Sycuan Casino, EDCO Disposal, Barona Casino, UDW of America, Northrop Grumman, Wells Fargo and The American Golf Corporation – National City Golf Course.
